Tea Party Candidate Wins Assembly Seat
Republican candidate Dean Murray, with huge backing from Tea Party, CSA and 912 Project supporters has won the 3rd Assembly (NY State) seat.  On Fox News, in an interview with Eric Shawn, Murray happily gave credit for his win to the new organizations.

County Approves Leases for Solar
Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy has approved the leasing of 7 County owned sites for the installation of solar carports for the generation of electricity which would be sold back to LIPA.  The sites designated are located at court complexes, parking areas or parking lots adjacent to railroad stations on the Island.  Sites named include the Riverhead Court Complex at Riverside which will have 11,536 solar panels installed. This approval is not without controversy as LIPA is seeking to pass along a tab to the consumer relating to the installation.

Walter Wants more CDA Involvement
Town Supevisor Sean Walter believes that the Community Development Agency should be more involved in bringing business to downtown Riverhead.

Walter Not Without Criticism
Some residents are expressing concern regarding Sean Walter's recent expenditures especially since he promised to hold the line on spending.  The hiring of two part time deputy town attorneys with benefits, makeover of his own offices and maintaining  his law practice are causing some critics to speak out.

Kudlow Against Schumer?  Maybe!
Lots of activity to draft Larry Kudlow, radio & tv financial expert to run against Chuck Schumer in the November election.  All eyes had been on the Gillibrand race but with the victory by Scott Brown in Massachusetts many see that anything is possible.

Levy Approves 60 Acre Wading River Purchase
Couty Exec Levy has signed on to the preservation of 60 acres in Wading River with the  County agreeing to spend $6.8 million dollars (County paying 75% and Brookhaven the 25% balance).
