Report County Exec Steve Levy Will Become Republican on Fri 3/19 and Run for Governor in the GOP Primary

State May Assign Most Serious Sex Offenders to Trailers
The community has been fighting the use of trailers on the Riverside prison grounds since the day they were towed in place.  Ed Romaine has been working tirelessly to get them out of there and assigned to another County location.  Now word comes that the most serious offenders in a program called SIST may be assigned to these same trailers requiring constant supervision.  There has to be a better answer to this serious problem for this community.

Supervisor Doesn't Favor Layoffs
Sean Walter has taken the position that layoff of Town personnel are not necessary and would prefer to tighten up on the excessive overtime as a way to reduce spending.  Lets face it. This won't be enough and some drastic moves have to be made to reduce the impending budget gap.

Another State Confronts Gun Laws
The State of Montana has joined with several other states in passing gun legislation that guns and/or ammunition produced, sold and used in Montana does not fall under any Federal regulations.  Another win for 10th Amendment States rights.

Time To Change the School Board?
Local community activists are asking for residents to show interest in and run for the Riverhead School Board.  They will support any qualified individual who wants to make a difference in the local school system.
