On July 4th, 1776, the brave men who founded this great country voted to issue a Declaration of Independence from Great Britain.  By signing this Declaration, the founders knew they would be in great danger and would risk losing their estates, fortunes and likely bring harm to their families.

In many cases their predictions were quite accurate and yet, they persisted.  And so on that hot, tense day in Philadelphia 234 years ago, a dozen or so courageous men stood their ground and said to King George, "We have had enough".

Exactly fifty years from the day of that signing, two of the creators of this document, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, passed away, neither one knowing of the other's demise.

All of the signatories of the Declaration were courageous men, not afraid to stand up to tyranny and ready to do battle for their newly founded country if necessary.
