Helicopter Noise Complaints

State Assemblyman Marc Alessi has started a website where Long Islanders can file complaints about helicopter noise.  Many residents are not happy with the flight rules recently imposed on chopper flying and see no improvement in the noise levels.

LaValle -No Opposition?

The  Supreme Court has thrown Democrat Regina Calcaterra off the November election ballot because she did not meet the residency requirements.  This could mean that State Senator Ken Lavalle (R) will  run for the Senate seat unopposed unless Calcaterra appeals the decision.

Work Starts at Theater

Restoration of the Suffolk Theater on Main Street, Riverhead has officially begun.  In a ceremonial swing of the sledge hammer, Town Supervisor Sean Walter knocked down a few bricks  to kick off the renovation work.
