4.3% Hike In Town Taxes
Sean Walter has proposed a $50 million dollar budget for fiscal year 2011.  Despite a reduction of 6 full time and some part time employees it will mean a 4.3% increase in resident taxes.

NY Post Endorses Dioguardi
The New York Post, in it's Thursday edition, endorsed Joe Dioguardi in the Senate race challenging Kirsten Gillibrand.  Gillibrand  was appointed to the Senate seat by Gov. Paterson to fill the unfinished term of Hillary Clinton.  Whichever candidate wins he/she must run again in 2012.

Dioguardi previously served in the congress and has won the nominations of both the Republican and Conservative parties.

U.S. Post Office Renamed for Hero
The U.S. Post Office in Riverhead has been renamed for Vietnam hero Private First Class Garfield M. Langhorn.  Private Langhorn lost his life in battle.

McDonalds Healthcare Ax
A memo leaked from the McDonalds Corporation suggests that the company may eliminate healthcare insurance for some 30,000 employees.  The memo suggests that new healthcare rules makes it difficult to support the present plan.  McDonalds has denied the memo as has the HHS Federal agency.  Where there's smoke, there's fire.

Cuomo/Paladino Campaign Gets Personal
Accusations between the Paladino and Cuomo camps are getting very personal and causing lots of anger and the NY Post is right in the middle with Paladino accusing the assigned Post reporter of being biased toward Cuomo.

Meanwhile.....shouldn't Cuomo start talking about the issues, the ground zero mosque, cap and trade, gay marriage, school budgets?  Something...anything....
