The LIRR revised a previous plan to suspend some services east of Ronkonkoma and now plans routine operation.

Eye-In-The-Sky Suspended

The Riverhead building Department has advised that the "eye-in-the-sky" operation (using aircraft to spot pools or other structures without permits has been suspended).

School Expansion-Back Again

The Riverhead School District has not given up on finding ways to expand present facilities and will soon announce a new program enabling facility enlargement.  No specific details are available.

Post Endorses Malpass.

The New York Post has endorsed David Malpass who is running to replace Kirsten Gillibrand in the U.S. Senate.  Malpass will challenge Bruce Blakeman in the Republican primary on September 14.
